Meliá Hotels International today announced the signature of the Tryp Santa Ponsa hotel in a popular resort on the coast of Calviá (Majorca) in which the chain has a strong presence and the Tryp Costa Caparica hotel on the charismatic Península de Setúbal, About 20 kilometers from Lisboa airport.
Both properties are part of the extensive portfolio of the Tryp by Wyndham brand, acquired in 2010 from Meliá Hotels International by the American Group Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's leading hotel group by number of hotels, although Meliá continues to operate 85 hotels of this brand, Under ownership, rental, management or franchise. The dynamic and versatile hotel brand is already present in 15 countries including Brazil, Spain, Germany, the United States, Australia or Colombia, with hotels mostly urban.
Tryp Santa Ponsa will open in 2017 after the complete renovation of a classic hotel in the area, one of the most traditional in Mallorca. The 4-star hotel will feature 60 rooms, a conference room, swimming pool and fitness room, as well as a bar and restaurant at street level, on the busy main promenade of Santa Ponsa.
